Jackie has worked in homebuilding since the 1980s, starting as a market analyst for Pulte Homes. She worked extensively in the southwestern region of the U.S. When she embarked on a solo consultant career, she worked with clients from all parts of the country.
During the Great Recession of 2008, she delved into issues regarding HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, all with an aim to help homeowners save energy, enhance comfort and improve the efficiency and lifetime of home appliances.
She's a member of Home Energy Pros, a group of energy professionals that the U.S. Department of Energy and the Lawrence Berkeley National Labratory sponsor.
Jackie is a former member of the Maricopa County Water Quality Advisory Group for the Maricopa Association of Governments.
Long a proponent of energy and resource conservation, she worked closely with the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association and the Arizona Homebuilders Association to promote the use of xeriscape landscaping in the Phoenix metro area.
In 2012 she authored Heaven Sent Food: A Guide to Solar Cooking based on her lifelong love of cooking. She's a current Associate Member of Solar Cookers International, an NGO devoted to world-wide solar cooking that promotes the health and safety of women and children, and clean cooking throughout the world.
